Garuda Aerospace, a drone solutions provider based in Chennai, has announced partnerships with international companies, including Titan Innovations, Easy Aerial, Azur Drones, Aero Sentinel, and Securiton. These collaborations aim to distribute drones across India for applications in security, infrastructure, and defense.
The partnerships follow India's recent restrictions on DJI drones amid geopolitical tensions, creating a potential gap in the market. The agreement is expected to facilitate the distribution of drones for various use cases such as infrastructure monitoring, crop spraying, and emergency response.
Agnishwar Jayaprakash, CEO of Garuda Aerospace, emphasized the significance of these partnerships, stating that they will support the growth of India's drone market by introducing technology from the US, Canada, Israel, and Europe.
Titan Innovations CEO Yahav Regev noted that the decision to partner with Garuda Aerospace was based on the company's expertise in national distribution and its established network in India's security sector.
Garuda Aerospace operates under a "Drone-as-a-Service" model, combining its own custom-designed drones with products from international manufacturers. These partnerships are positioned to address the increasing demand for UAV technology in India, particularly after the withdrawal of DJI from the market.
The company has not disclosed specific financial details or distribution timelines associated with these collaborations. The partnerships align with India's broader efforts to develop its domestic drone industry in response to changing market dynamics.
