Hexcel to Showcase Aerospace Composite Materials at Aero India 2025
Hexcel Corporation will exhibit its composite material technologies at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru, India. The company, which has supplied composite materials to Indian aerospace programs for over four decades, will present its latest developments in lightweight, high-performance materials used in civil, military, and space applications.
Hexcel provides composite solutions for programs such as the Airbus C295 and H125, which will be assembled in India. The company supplies prepreg and honeycomb products and continues to develop materials optimized for automated manufacturing processes in aerospace production.
HexTow® carbon fiber is among the materials Hexcel will highlight at the event. The company offers a variety of carbon fiber products, including HexTow® HM63, a high-modulus, high-strength fiber available in 12K format. Additionally, Hexcel recently introduced HexTow® IM9 24K, aimed at manufacturers seeking efficiency in primary and secondary aerospace structures.
Hexcel will also showcase its out-of-autoclave (OOA) composite solutions designed to support high-rate manufacturing. These include HexPly® M51, a rapid-curing prepreg for structural composite parts, and HexPly® M56, a prepreg designed for aircraft secondary structures that can be cured in an oven under vacuum, eliminating the need for autoclave equipment. Both systems are compatible with automated tape laying (ATL) and automated fiber placement (AFP) processes. The company also offers resins and reinforcements for Liquid Compression Molding (LCM) processes.
Another featured product is Hexcel HiTape®, a carbon reinforcement material designed for OOA processing of primary aircraft structures. HiTape supports automated lay-up processes, enabling the production of thick composite parts with performance comparable to conventional prepregs.
Harvinder Gill, Hexcel's Sales Director for Asia Pacific, stated that the company will present a range of material systems and processing technologies to support aerospace manufacturers aiming for higher production rates. Hexcel representatives will be available at the GIFAS Pavilion, Hall B, Booth 2.3, with additional support from its Composites India LLP office in Bengaluru.
