MBDA will participate in Aero India 2025, taking place from February 10 to 14 in Bengaluru, to showcase its missile systems and highlight partnerships with Indian defense industry stakeholders. The company will be exhibiting in Hall B at Stand B3.1.
For over five decades, MBDA has collaborated with the Indian Armed Forces, working alongside local industry partners, including its joint venture L&T MBDA Missile Systems Ltd, Bharat Dynamics Limited, and various small and medium enterprises. According to the company, more than 50,000 MBDA-designed missiles have been manufactured in India through these partnerships.
At the event, MBDA will display missile systems integrated with the Indian Air Force’s Dassault Rafale aircraft, including the Meteor beyond visual range air-to-air missile. The company states that the Meteor features a rocket-ramjet motor that enhances operational range and effectiveness in combat scenarios.
Also on display will be the ASRAAM air combat missile, which has been integrated with Jaguar and Tejas combat aircraft. MBDA asserts that this missile enhances short-range combat capabilities.
In the naval sector, MBDA will present the Sea Ceptor naval air defense system, which is being proposed to the Indian Navy for its Vertical Launch Short-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL SRSAM) program. MBDA indicates that Sea Ceptor incorporates advanced technologies to enhance the defense capabilities of naval platforms and escorted vessels.
L&T MBDA Missile Systems Ltd, MBDA’s joint venture with Larsen & Toubro, will also participate in the exhibition, showcasing its manufacturing and development work in Coimbatore. The joint venture is engaged in multiple defense projects, including the VL SRSAM system and the ATGM5 anti-tank missile, which is proposed as a next-generation battlefield weapon developed and manufactured in India.
MBDA’s involvement in Aero India 2025 highlights its continued engagement with Indian defense firms and its role in domestic defense manufacturing initiatives.
